Hmmm...
I went to watch The Day The Earth Stood Still on the 14th Dec, another day which the planet stood still...
Hmm..I watched part of the original movie made in the 1950s, I felt it was nice.
In the new remake, 'The One' has come again to save us, and almost got 'us' killed.
Amazing, brilliant, totally awesome action and SFX. However, the story seems to be lack of logic and structurally incomplete, especially if you have seen the original film.
I am still very bothered by the part where the female doc said if the alien wants to speak to our leader then she will take him to one, and then there came the professor. I felt it was too abrupt, and what does the professor have to be or to be like a leader??? Nothing was explained in the movie, not like the original...the professor is obviously not a politician.
In the original, the alien was rejected by the US officials regarding the request to speak to all the world leader at the same time, instead he looked for someone who is intelligent, and responsible enough to speak to, and he found the professor, and the process is much more logical and understood.
Hmmm...kinda disappointed after watching...felt like...'HUH?' after the ending...

Now I...NEED TO SEE THE ORIGINAL VERSION! ahah
It makes the role feel even more like when he plays Neo especially when he has awaken to be The One, and he became so much like the alien...
However in terms of story it only captures you in the beginning...
1. The kid is annoying.
2. ... we were just sitting there for like, idno, 2 hours, waiting for the film to start, even when it "ended" >_>
